BRANCH RE-ESTABLISHED
N.Z. SHIPPING COMPANY
A re-established branch of the New Zealand Shipping Company will commence operations in Auckland on Monday, under the management of Mr. A H. Sinel.
The agent for the New Zealand Shipping rompnny during the last few years lias been the Union Steam Ship Company, hut after next Monday the
company's business will be conducted by Mr. Sinel. The two companies will continue to occupy Maritime Buildings. Similar arrangements have been made in Dunedin, where Mr. F. Tyson has been appointed branch manager, and Mr. J. H. C. Bond, Dominion superintendent of the New Zealand Shipping Company, is in Auckland arranging for the change. Joining the clerical staff of the New Zealand Shipping Company as a boy in 1897, Air. Sinel was appointed assistant in 1917. In 1920 Mr. C. V. Houghton retired, after being manager for some years, and the control of business was assumed by the Union Steam Ship Company.
Under the new arrangement the New Zealand Shipping Company will hav« its own branches in Auckland. Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, but the Union Company will continue to act as agent at all other ports in New Zealand.
