Quota Plan Wins Contestants' Approval
VOTES PUBLISHED TOMORROW
Prize Display in. Queen's Arcade
“What a good ideal ” exclaimed one j oC the contestants in The Sun's Fopu- j larity Campaign yesterday, referring j to the quota plan which was proposed ! by the Campaign Manager several days ago. It is a good idea, as all the contestants will find out as soon as they begin to put it into effect, and now is the time to do that. This week begins the most produc- j five period of the campaign. The period for getting 400,000 extra bonus votes for each £lO in subscription money turned in. This, of course, is in addition to the usual allotment of 15,000 votes for each yearly subscription, etc. This 400,000 bonus will be allowed on each £lO in subscription money turned in up until next week, Saturday, July 5. Commence today with a definite quota. Make up your mind that you? are going to get one bonus allowance every day. That means only little over five subscribers. That really is very little, isn’t it? Or, if you think it possible, get two bonus allowances of £lO each, or whatever you feel represents your utmost capacity. Put your mark high, •and then drive yourself to equal it. Having a quota to work on always gives you a good argument, because you will always need “just one more subscription” to complete your quota, and there will be many new readers who will be glad to help you when you give them that incentive. . Untold millions of pounds’ worth of merchan- | dise have been sold because the salesman pressed the point that he needed additional sales to fill his quota. It is an absolute certainty that the ; reader who sets himself or herself the | high quota for the competition, and ! meets it every day, will win one of | the big prizes. LOSING VOTES
That contestants are letting a lot ol votes get away from them is evidenced by the fact that new subscribers send in their names to The Sun every day without solicitation. Some of those, when asked why they did not subscribe through a coutestant, replied that nobody asked them to. That shows that the people are joining The Sun’s circle of readers willingly, and of their own accord. That fact indicates that others will join as soon as someone puts the suggestion before them in concrete form. There is still time for new contestants to enter the com petition and win a prize. Those who have been in the contest longest have awakened to the value of the prizes offered, so that subscriptions are easier to get now than ever before. New contestants may reap the benefit of all this favourable publicity as well as those who have already entered. There are absolutely no restrictions as to the number of subscriptions that The Sun must receive before the prizes are awarded or as to the number of votes a contestant must receive to win. The prizes must be given regardless. The contestant who has the greatest number of votes at the end ol' the competition, August 2, will receive the first choice of the prizes, whether the total number of votes be one thousand or one million. The contestant who has the second largest amount will have the second choice of the prizes remaining and so on down the list until all the prizes have been awarded. So get to work immediately and secure -every last vote possible. Subscriptions mean votes and votes win prizes and every additional subscription you receive will increase your standard. NO VOTES TODAY The Campaign Department is still struggling with the great volume of business which came in over the weekend and for that reason no votes are published today. However we see daylight ahead and it Is hoped that the list will be completed for publication in tomorrow’s paper. Many_ of the contestants are already getting under way again and new votes and subscriptions are still pouring into the office.
