KOLMAR’S OWNER SERIOUSLY ILL

IN HAWERA HOSPITAL Mr. S. G. Larcom, owner of Kolmar, winner of the Provincial Trot on Saturday, is at present seriously ill in the Hawera Hospital. Last week trainer Joe Edwards reported Kolmar to be in splendid condition, so Mr. Larcom consented to his appearance in Auckland, and deputed the Te Awamutu sportsman, Mr. T. McNair, to act for him. News of Kolmar’s victory was flashed to Mr. Larcom, whose reply to the Auckland headquarters of his friends was typical of the generoushearted owner, and was the cause of much jubilation among his acquaintances, who, in forwarding congratulations to him on Kolmar’s victory, expressed the hope that Mr. Larcom would make a speedy and permanent recovery.
