RUN OF SECONDS

\ HENDRICKSEN, the Canterbury reinsman, is putting up a record for seconds lately. At Oamaru, Denver City and Neeoro finished in this position, while at Forbury he was behind Gemlight, Cardinal Logan and Robert Guy (twice) to pay the minor dividend. The trot was continued on Saturday when Denver City ran second in the Mangere Handicap. This made seven seconds in a brief space of time, and perhaps the spell will be broken today at Alexandra Park.
