NEW DIVISION TO BE ESTABLISHED VOLCANIC LAND PROBLEMS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. In order to promote further investigation of the soils of New Zealand, particularly in the volcanic areas of the North Island, in the parts in which stock malnutrition problems have become acute, the Government has decided to establish a soil reconnaissance division of the geological survey branch of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Tnis announcement was made by the Prime Minister yetserday. — =
