GEORGE ARLISS PLANS TO MAKE A TALKIE OF HIS PLAY, “OLD ENGLISH"

Bringing with him John Galsworthy’s consent to make “Old English” into an audible picture, George Arliss star of “Disraeli,” recently returned to Hollywood from a record-making trip to England. Arliss will sail for England again this month to get the com-, pleted version of a new stage play that is being written for him there. This he will produce in America in October. The name of the play or the playwright has not yet been made public by Arliss. “Old English” was the greatest financial success of all the actor’s stage productions.
