FACTORY BADLY DAMAGED
FIRE IN WELLINGTON Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A few minutes after five o’clock yesterday morning a fire was discovered at 29 Dixon Street in a two-storey wooden building used by H. L. 'Williamson as a vulcanising factory, and owned by Burch and Mitchell. The premises were formerly well-known as the Phoenix Dining Rooms and boardinghouse. The flames had a strong hold when
the alarm was given and the building and contents were severely damaged by fire and water. The stock was insured in the Yorkshire Office for £768 and the machinery in the same office for £ 122. The insurance on the building was £350 in the Phoenix Office, j
