FARMERS AND SHEEPOWNERS I Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. | Speaking at the conference of the Farmers’ Union today, the Dominion president, Mr. W. J. Poison, said he had had a brief conference with the Sheepowners’ Federation, and they had agreed that the remits on the most important matters passed by the farmers’ conference should be jointly supported by the Farmers’ Union and sheepowners, when presented to the Government, the remits passed on land taxation, derating, the Arbitration Court, and unemployment would be submitted to a joint committee, and would be handed by a deputation to the Government. The conference agreed to this proposal.
