Tennis Dance
FIRST ANNUAL FUNCTION ORGANISED BY PUKEROA CLUB. : _ | ENJOYABLE EVENING The Pukeroa Tennis Club held its first annual dance at the Click Clack Cabaret last ’evening, members and their friends spending a most enjoyable time. Blue and gold streamers effectively decorated the dance hall, and yellow daisies were arranged on the tables in the lounge. During the evening an exhibition dance by pupils from the Margaret O'Connor Dance Studio, was greatly appreciated. Music for dancing was supplied by Kendall’s Orchestra. Among those present were: Mrs. G. Hardy, whose gown of daffodil yellow georgette was relieved with a gold beaded girdle: Mrs. Gear, in black faille with floral yoke; Mrs. Saver, wine red ring velvet; Miss C. Wood/ in ivorv , m °ire and white lace; Miss Edna Ballantyne, sea green embossed taffeta with ankle-length hem; Miss M. Bartlev, lemon georgette; Miss E. White, white georgette with satin front panel. Miss V. ells, rose pink satin; Miss Ftavell, turquoise blue satin bodice with frilled net skirt; Miss Dix, cameo pink taffeta: Miss Wheeler, lacquer red embossed chenille georgette; Miss P. Stewart, nile green georgette; Miss Rae, turquoise blue satin; Miss M. Rae, shell pink frilled taffeta; Miss M. Arns, peach taffeta; Miss T. HambJy, rose pink georgette; Miss K. Johnson, scarlet georgette. Miss M. McAuley, wearing a frock of ivory satin with deep hem of silver lace: Miss S. Robinson, shell pink net over ss . Jackman, autumn toned floral chiffon: Miss Peterson, cameo pink satin embroidered in silver; Miss Z>. Mac Kay, white satin and tulle with natural shoulder spray; Miss R. Janies, limegreen floral moire taffeta; Miss P. Rawson. sea-green floral taffeta; Miss E. Bucklev. black taffeta with a tiered skirt; Miss M. Goodwin, mimosa-yellow satin and net; Miss Harris, apple green satin witn a frilled skirt; Miss Nancy Staples, lectuce green georgette with a frilled skirt embroidered in pas tel-shaded flowers; Miss Montgomery, black embossed chenille georgette with hem of gold laee; Miss Barnes, apricot satin; Miss Fountain, ankle-length frock of cherry ring velvet; Miss M. Harrison, ankle-length frock of mist blue and pink chiffon; Miss I*. Birkenhead, white satin with a tiered skirt and blue beaded coatee; Miss Bailev. leaf green georgette; Miss Barry, waterlilv green satin.
