NEW YORK BANK RATE DOWN
Reed. 9.25 a.m. NEW YORK, Thurs. The Federal Reserve Bank has reduced its re-discount rate from 3 per cent, to 2i per cent. This is the first time in the history °f the Federal Reserve system that °f its banks has had a rate below 3 per cent.
