The National Bank of New Zealand advises receipt of the following cable from its Melbourne agents, the National Bank of Australasia, Ltd.: At an extraordinary general meeting of the National Bank of Australasia, held on June 18, proposals to increase the number of directors from six to seven were duly confirmed and General Sir Harry Chauvel, G.C.M.G., K.C.8., was elected as an additional director by a substantial majority. Proxies were overwhelmingly in favour of proposals.
