AXEMAN’S DEATH
INJURED IN BUSH Special to THE SUN ROTORUA, Wednesday. An inquest was held today concerning the death of Mr. A. Augell, who died in the Rotorua Hospital from mjurles received while working in the bush, before Mr. W. L. Richards, J. 8., and a jury of four. Dr. Brian G. Thompson, of King George V. Hospital, said Mr. Angell was admitted to the hospital on June 16, from Mokai bush, near Taupo. He was conscious when he arrived and said that his injuries were the result of something having slipped and bit him. The injuries were consistent with a blow from a fairly large object. The cause of death was internal haemorrhage, following laceration. Basil Bower, a bushman residing at Oruanui, said he had known deceased for 15 years. He was a married man, with a wife and three young children. The inquest was adjourned sine die. Mr. Angell, who lives at Thames, was very well known as an expert bush worker.
