FEELING IN MALTA IS TOO INTENSE QUESTION IN COMMONS British Official 'Wireless Heed. Noon. KUGBY, Tuesday. Asked whether he was iu a position to give any further information regarding the situation in Malta, Dr. T. D. Shiels, Under-Secretary for the Colonies, said, owing to the state of public feeling in the island, the elections were still being held in abeyance by the Governor in exercise of bis reserved powers. The question of what further measures should be taken to deal with the situation was under consideration by the British Government.
