WEDDING BELLS AT MORRINSVILLE
! CHURCH IS PRETTILY : DECORATED FOR CEREMONY BAKER—FAGAN : A pretty wedding was celebrated at j Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsville, when Hazel Evelyn, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. F agan, of Motumaoho, was married to Allan William, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Baker of Xewstead. The Rev. J. 11. Starnes officiated. The church had been artistically decorated by members of the Motumaoho Bible Class with sprays of white heath forming arches over the isle from pew to pew, and linked with white streamers. The bride who was given away by her father wore a frock of ivory crepe satin and georgette, with long georgette sleeves, the skirt of t,wo-tiered flares with uneven hemline drooping to the ankles at the back, and finished with a wide sash and orange blossoms at the side. Her long embroidered tulle I veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossoms, and she carried a j bouquet of white chrysanthemums and ! narcissus. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Fagan, | sister of the bride, wore a frock of I green georgette with sleeveless bodice 1 trimmed with ruching and full skirt scalloped at the bottom, and trimmed with littlo pink bows. Her hat of green felt to tone was trimmed with pink, and she carried a bouquet of golden chrysanthemums, Iceland pojv pies and autumn leaves. The little flower girl, Miss Edna. Stark, wore a frock of pink georgette, the bodice of which was trimmed with tucks and the skirt with tiny frills. She wore a. Fiat of pink felt, trimmed with felt flowers to tone. Mr. Harold Baker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was ImJd, Mrs. Fagan receiving her guest* j wearing a frock of brown wool crepe de chine relieved with pale apricot. She wore fox furs and a brown felt hat trimmed with a diamente ornament arid carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers. Mr. and Mrs, Baker later left by car for the South, the bride wearing a frock of beige-fawn crepe de chine trimmed with silk crepe de chine to match over which was worn a tweed coat, and felt hat to tone with fox furs. Their future home will be at Lichfield near Putaruru. CHILDREN’S PARTY JOLLY TIME AT DEVONPORT To celebrate the birthday of her little daughter Audrey, Mrs. K. Rawlings gave a very jolly children’s party at her home in Devonport on Saturday afternoon. The rooms were gay with coloured streamers and balloons. Mrs. Rawlings received her little guests wearing a frock of sequined georgette. Miss Audrey Rawlings wone a dainty frock of leaf-green corded taffeta and frilled net. Those present included:—Kona Sawer, Thelma Clark. Margaret Baillie, Margaret Bennett. Poppy Stevenson.
