WAIPU BRIDE CHOOSES WHITE SATIN FROCK
CONNELL—McKAY On Thursday, Belinda Catherine Ann, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. McKay, of the Braigh, Waipu, was married to John Gilbert, third son of Mr. and Mrs. John Connell, of Lauglitilube, Londonderry, Ireland, in the "Waipu Presbyterian Church. The Rev. S. Boot performed the ceremony and Mrs. W. Muller presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. D. W. McGregor, was charmingly attired in a frock of white satin with ivory tulle veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white autumn flowers. The bridesmaid was Miss Belle McKay, sister of the bride, who wore pale blue crepe de chine with hat to match and carried a. bouquet of white and blue autumn coloured flowers. Mr. Rob Connell, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Owing to the indisposition of the bride's mother, no reception was driven, but after the ceremony the wedding party and the friends who attended at the church adjourned to the public ball, where morning tea was served by relatives of the bride.
