ANNUAL MEETING OF EPSOM CROQUET CLUB
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES WON DURING SEASON ELECTION OF OFFICERS The president, Mrs. J. J. Rogers, presided at the 23rd annua? meeting of the Epsom Croquet Club, held in the pavilion last Thursday. j The honorary secretary, Mrs. C. J. j Blakey, read the annual report, and submitted accounts which showed the | club to have had a very successful season. Both ladies were thanked for their services. Mrs. Rogers presented prizes won during the season, and retired from the ; chair. Mrs. McGregor was unanimously elected president, and Mrs. Chapman vice-president for the coming season. Mrs. Blakey was re-elected honorary secretary. The committees elected were as follow:—Management. Mesj dames Jenkin, H. Jones, Kingdom j Walker, Burnell; match, Mesdames ; Swales, McGregor, Chapman: tea con- ; vener. Mrs. Malcolm, assisted by Miss [ Sims. Mrs. Broughton, Miss AVadding- | ham and Mrs. Collins. Matters of special interest to I members and friends, pertaining to the reconstruction of the club, were discussed. The secretary was instructed to thank the bowlers and other friends who have assisted in obtaining the new lawns on Gillies Avenue reserve; also the executive committee of the Epsom Bowling Club for the offer of the use of their pavilion for social functions and storage. The president stressed the need for raising funds to nrovido a temporary pavilion and shelter, and urged her committee to organise a new’ membership campaign, j {
