DAMAGES FOR INJURED MAN
WINS CLAIM FROM MOTORIST Press Association GREYMOUTH, Tuesday. Damages amounting to £598 13s were awarded to Egidis Bearzatti in the Supreme Court today when he claimed £BOO 3s 6d from Frederick Wise. The claim arose as a result of an accident in June, 1929, when defendant’s car hit plaintiff. As a result it was stated that plaintiff had been totally disabled for work, having suffered permanent, serious injury. Plaintiff claimed that the accident was due to defendant's negligence in driving at an OX€«MiTe speed. Mr. P. J. O’Regan, with W. J. Joyce, appeared for plaintiff arid Mr. C. S. Thomas for the defendant. Leave to appeal was granted, application to be filed within 14 days.
