GLIDER GOES 70 MILES

FLIGHT ON ENGLISH DOWNS Reed. 0.5 a.m. LONDON, Monday. Robert Kronfeld, an Austrian gliding ace, flying "ear Lewes in a straight line along the South Downs, landed near Portsmouth, 70 miles away, in three hours. Mr. Gordon, of England, chairman of the Gliding Association, describes the feat as marvellous, and says it proves that Britain is an ideal countrj r for gliding.
