ONEHUNGA BRANCH OF W.C.T.U.

The Onehunga branch of the "Women's Christian Temperance Union met in the Methodist Schoolroom on Thursday to celebrate "White Ribbon Day.” The programme arranged by the ••White Ribbon’ agent, Mrs. Ashby, was much appreciated. A paper on "What TVe Read,” sent by the "White Ribbon” editor, was read by Mrs. Stacey. Other readings were given by Mrs. Pople and Mrs. Bickle. Interspersed with solos by Mesdames Wentworth, Craig and Leadley. Afternoon tea brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
