UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TESTS INTRODUCTION URGED From Our Resident Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. Members of the Council of Education severely criticised the present university entrance examination yesterday and many strongly favoured the proposed accrediting system. After a detailed discussion the following resolution was carried: “That the council regrets the delay in tlie adoption of the system of accrediting for the university entrance and urges tlie university to accept the Kducation Department’s assurance that adequate safeguards will be provided to ensure the satisfactory working of the .system ”
