OBJECTS TO LIQUOR
MR. HOWELL WOULD HAVE DIPLOMATS GO DRY PROTEST TO POLICE WASHINGTON, Friday. Following upon the importation of liquor by the British Embassy, Mr. R. B. Howell, a “dry” member of the Senate for Nebraska, has lodged with the police a protest against the importation of liquor by foreign diplomats. He informed Police-Superintend-ent Pratt that he believed the open transportation of liquor through the streets constituted a violation of the prohibition laws.
