HEADMASTER TRANSFERRED

PRESENTATIONS AT MANGERE At a meeting of the Mangere Combined Schools’ Committee last evening, farewell messages were addressed to Mr. H. C. Jaffrev, headmaster of Bridge School, who has been transferred to Kohimarama. Mr. M. B. Kirkbride, who presided referred to the excellent work achieved by Mr. Jaffrey during 18 years at the school and presented Mr. Jaffrey with a set of valuable books. Mr. S. Rickards, the representative of Mangere Riding on the Manukau County Couii cil, attended and praised Mr. Jaffrey*a work The speakers also welcomed the newly-appointed headmaster. Mr Spurden.

Before Mr. Jaffrey left the school, he was presented by the teachers and the pupils with a leather tra\~elling bag.
