LATER SUMMER HOLIDAYS

EDUCATION COUNCIL’S SUPPORT Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Council of Education today approved of Sir Thomas Sidey’s' suggestion that the summer school holidays should be held in February. The council recommended that the matter should be referred for consideration to the governing bodies of the universities, secondary, technical and primary schools, and to the teachers’ associations. These bodies are to be asked to communicate their views to the council, so that the matter may be considered at the next meeting.
