PIANO STUDENTS MEET

FIRST GUEST EVENING The Auckland Piano Students’ Association held the first guest night of the season last evening, when a representative programme of “Sea Music” was given. About 50 guests were welcomed by the president, Miss Joyce M. Parker. Selections from the works of Mendelssohn, Palmgren, MacDowell, Lyons, Harris and Rowley were given by Misses Hall, Martin, M. Hewson, J. Parker, R. Kennedy, M. Jagusch, M. Hawthorn and D. Binns. Assisting artists were Miss M. Atkinson, Mr. W. McMichael, Miss K. Hall and Mr. T. Binns. An original musical competition entitled, “A Fishing Excursion,” was won by Miss M. Atkinson, Mr. T. Binns taking the consolation prize. Among those present were: Mesdames L. A, Eady, .Tv. Atkinson. M. Parker. McMichael, Jagusch, Seccombe, Hall, Wynyard. Slade, Kennedy, Martin, Green, Carter, Wallace, Can* and Geddes, Misses Molly Atkinson. Saunders. Li. Kennedy, W. Silver, Bain, G. Hewson, J.
