AIR ROUTE TO CANADA
PARTY TO SURVEY ICE CAPS OF GREENLAND TRIAL FLIGHT SOON Times Cable . LONDON. Saturday. Fourteen explorers are to leave England on July 3 in Sir Ernest Shackleton’s old ship Quest to survey the Greenland Ice cap, with the object of establishing an air route between Britain and Canada. The expedition will be under the leadership of Mr. H. G. Watkins. When the route has been surveyed an experimental flight will be made from England to Winnipeg and back, via the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Baffin Land and Hudson’s Bay.
