Tweeds and Furs Vogue at Races

Tweeds and ■furs were again conspicuous on the lawn at Etlerse today, when the Auckland Racing Ctub'a Great Northern Steep'echase meeting closed in cold wet weather. Tho tweeds this year are amazing in their variety of design and colouring, ar.d are so supple and lacking in bulk that they make the smarest of tailored frocks, coats and ensembles. The tweed bag to match the suit or ensemble is quite the newest thing in accessories, and several smart women ere noticed carrying these practical adjuncts. Many leather and rainproof coats were in evidence, as indications this morning were for continual rain. OX THE LAWN. Lady Sinclair Lockhart, navy cloth tailored suit and small navy hat.
