Mr. Beaumont Smith travelled South hy the Limited last evening.
Mr. Vincent Ward proceeded to Rotorua this morning from Frankton junction. He travelled to Prankton on the Limited. Dr. Eric Macdonald, of Auckland, has passed the fellowship examination of The Royal College of Surgeons, London, according to advices received in Auckland. Mr. C. Hume, general manager of the New Zealand Herd-testing Association. travelled from Palmerston North to Frankton Junction on the Limited this morning. Mr. Geoffrey Henry Leslie, son of Mr. and Mrs. I). E. Leslie, of Wheturangi Road, Epsom, has passed the fourth and final professional examination in dentistry, held at the Otago University in May, thus qualifying for the B.D.S. degree. Mr. John McQueen, Dunedin manager of the Union Bank of Australia, ]ias announced his early retirement irom the bank. He has completed 41 years’ service. Mr. and Mrs. McQueen and Miss McQueen are due to take their departure from Dunedin at the end of July, and will visit Australia before travelling abroad. HOTEL REGISTER Grand. —Mr. E. S.
