DAIRY PRODUCE AND WOOL EXPORT
Past Two Years Compared Comparing the figures for the year ended Marcli 31, 1930, with those for the previous year, decreases in both quantities and values are noticed in 2’cgard to the Dominion’s exports of butter, cheese, frozen beef, hides and calf-skins, rabbit skins, wool, tallow and gold, says the latest bulletin of the Department of Industries and Commerce. Increases are recorded in the cases of frozen lamb frozen mutton, pelts and kauri gum. In connection with sausage casings, an increased quantity was exported but a smaller total value was attained on account of lower prices ruling. The causes of the shrinkage in the totat value of our exports for the past year are readily observed from a glance at the following summary of the volume and value -of the three principal items of export for the last two years— VOLUME. 1929-30. 1928-29.
