THE WRAP COAT
LOVELY MATERIALS FASHION THIS IMPORTANT GARMENT The wrap coat, as distinct from the tailored coat, has an important place in the smart woman's dreßS scheme, since there are many occasions for which the very formal coat would not be correct. For afternoon concerts and at homes, for more in-timate bridge parties, and for various other little social functions calling for a pretty afternoon frock, it is nice to have a lovely and artistic wrap of a material that is not suitable for the usual out-of-doors coat. For this purpose are the beautiful fancy velours woven in patterns of colour, and the tapestries with threads of gold or silver making rich : harmonies. There are also silk and velvet fabrics that look a 3 if they might have been used for hangings in mediaeval castles. The cut of the wrap is easy and rather full so that it may live up to its name and be wrapped round the figure in a truly artistic way.
