HOMESICK ALLIGATOR

SCORNS PROFFERED FOOD A small alligator from Mozambique, now in the Lisbon Zoo, has gone on hunger strike. It has been suffering from homesickness, and has scornfully turned up its snout when food has been presented to it. It is, therefore, being forcibly fed with milk, beaten-up eggs, and minced meat. It is hoped that the reptile will soon forget its friends in the dismal swamps, and take its food like a gentleman.
