ANNUAL DANCE
SEDDONIAN TENNIS CLUB FUNCTION ORIENTAL DECORATIONS Last evening the Seddonian Tennis Club held its annual dance in the Symondsville Studio. The delightful Oriental decorations made a quaint background for the pretty frocks worn by the dancers. An excellent programme of dance music was given by Ken Gillam’s Melody Boys. During the evening, the president of the club. Mr. F. Upton, announced the trophy winners for the season and presented the prizes: Women’s championship singles. Miss S. Lockington; women’s handicap singles, Miss S. Lockington: men’s championship singles, Mr. Gordon Rich;, men’s handicap singles, Mr. A. Delpratt; mixed championship doubles. Miss Morrison and Mr. G. Rich; women’s championship doubles. Misses H. and M. Matthews: men's championship doubles, Messrs. G. Rich and R. Carter. The runners-up in each section were presented with badges and the winners of a progressive tournament held during the season were also presented with trophies. Members of the committee present were: Mrs. Sayers, who wore cherry moire nmg "velvet; Miss I. Aulds, sea-foam green flounced georgette; Miss E. Morrison. georgette and diamente: SJSS M. Matthews rose pink georgette and taffeta; Miss H. Matthews, sky blue georgette frock, with beaded ninon bridge froci MiSS H Morrison, deep red lace Among those present were:— in un relieved black geortte and tulle: Mrs. Symes, cameo pink moire satin; Miss St. George, apple-green and lace; liss lockington, f°f € Miss T.
