ALL NEW ZEALAND DINNER IS VOTED COMPLETE SUCCESS
MISS MELVILLE ENTERTAINS AT LYCEUM CLUB Soup Toheroa Tomato Fish Whitebait fritters Lobster mayonnaise Extree Fricassee of sheep’s tongues Spaghetti on toast Hot Joixt lamb and green peas Sweets Dominion pudding Pears in jelly Fruit salad (whipped cream) Savoury Weetbix savoury Coffee, Biscuits Chocolates This was the menu at the delightful all - New Zealand dinner given by Miss Ellen Melville at the Lyceum Club last evening. Miss Melville is undertaking a lecture campaign in the interests or New Zealand-made goods, making a tour of the whole Auckland Province, and the dinner preceded her lecture at the Lyceum Club last evening. The dinner, excellently cooked, was voted a complete success, and at the conclusion each guest, was presented with a fern leaf and a sample of Weetbix. Miss Melville was gowned in gentian blue georgette, with yoke and hem of silver metal lace, and she was assisted in greeting the guests by Mrs. Parkes, who wore a black satin gown with rose and gold brocaded coatee. Miss Melville's guests included Mrs. Buttle, Mrs. C. Dickinson, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon, Mrs. Mackay Grant, Mrs. Frater, Mrs. L. T. Rapson, Mrs. S. T. Wicksteed, Mrs. C. Keeble. Mrs. E. D. Ashton, Mrs. Duncan Clerk, Mrs. Warren, Miss Robinson, Miss Alice Basten, Miss Carnachan and Miss Begg.
