BRITANNIA, THREE LAMPS
The two talkies at the Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, will be shown for the last time tonight. They are “Barnum Was Right,” a comfedy starring the merry Glenn Tryon as a land agent in search of buried fortune, and “Salute.” a tale of life at the West Point Military Academy and at the Annapolis Naval Academy. Tomorrow the Britannia Theatre will show “Welcome Danger.” the first talkie to be made by Harold Lloyd, and one of his best comedies. Norman Foster, New York stage star, who was given the title role in “Young Man of Manhattan.” recently completed all-talking picture, is also a noted playwright. He has collaborated on four plays, working with his co-authors through the mail. Claudette Colbert plays opposite and Charles Ruggles, Ginger Rogers and Leslie Austin have featured roles.
