The question had been thorougmy ; discussed at a meeting of the committee'of the club, the letter said. Inquiries as to whether or not something could be done to institute broadcasts had come from the North, wtyere the numerous League followers with receiving sets would appreciate a broadcast from Carlaw Park. At the present time these enthusiasts are only supplied with Rugby broadcasts. In the opinion of the Ponsonby Club, it would b© a move in the direction of the furtherance of the League code. It would be a means of advertising the Rugby League game. The Advisory Committee recommended that the question be held over till next week, pending inquiries from the broadcasting company by the secretary. This was agreed to. E. L. Haggle (Otahuhu) was transferred from that club’s senior B grade team to the Mount Wellington Club’s j second grade team. MILFORD CLUB? An enthusiast from Milford wrote asking for ways and means of forming a League club in that district. There were sufficient players to form a team, ho said. There were numbers of supporters among the public, and interest in the rival code by both players and public was languishing. The secretary was authorised to supply th*> necessary information. The committee decided to offer the Otahuhu Hockey Club the free use of one ground at Otahuhu for the remainder of the season. Senior A and B matches will be suspended, on Saturday week, the date of the North v. South Island match.
