ROWING PRIZE NIGHT

NORTH SHORE CLUB The North Shore Rowing Club concluded one of the most successful seasons in its history with a prize-giving dance in the Parish Hall last evening. Mr. A. Harris, M.P., made the presentations. The provincial championships won included the junior fours (Searle Cup), the heavy maiden fours (Dewar Shield), the youths’ fours (Nash Cup), and the maiden pair oar (Mariner Cup). In inter-club rowing North Shore had a generous share of the trophies, winning the Barrett Cup, Schmidt Trophies, Mcllwraith Cup, Nixon Cup, Brett Cup, Dr. Stewart Reid Cup (eight-oar event), and the Smith Shield.

In regatta racing the club’s various crews had a meritorious record. The youths’ crew from six starts had five wins and one second; the heavy maidens had the similar placings; the juniors secured one first and one second place out of three starts; the pair oar crew rowed twice, winning one race; the seniors were second in each of the two races in Which they started.
