BLIND INSTITUTE MEMBERS ATTEND TALKIES Entertainment Is often difficult to find for the blind, but the talkie picture has opened up a new avenue in this direction, and last evening 65 members of the Institute for the Blind, accompanied by Mr. Clutha Mackenzie, were the guests of Mr. Thomas O'Brien at the Civic Theatre. The talkie at the Civic, “Splinters," is chockful of bright dialogue, and was consequently suited for the occasion. The guests greatly enjoyed the programme.
