THE GREAT NORTHERN HURDLES.—With a little over a mile to go: Roman Abbey (which finished second) leading Wako King, Mister Gamp, Aurora Borealis (outside), which was third, Kamehameha and the winner, King's Jest. Elysianor was just behind King's Jest, but fell at this fence. Kamehameha (hooped sleeves) was pulled up two hurdles later, and at the next obstacle Wako King fell and brought down Mister Gamp. Only four out of the nine starters finished.
