Both the Crystal Palace Theatre. Mount Eden Road, and the Empress Theatre, Newton, continue to show Ramon Novarro’s first talkie, "Devil May-Care.” It presents very beautifully in six songs the star’s muchdiscussed operatic tenor voice. The seng hit of the production. "Charming,” has become the most hummed and whistled number of the season. "Devil May-Care” is a Metro-Gold-wynMayer picture, directed by Sidney Frankling, creator of “The Last o'? Mrs. Cheyney.” It contains a very picturesque scene filmed in technicolour. depicting a group of Albertina Rasch dancers in a reproduction of the famous gardens at Versailles. The story is taken from the book, "La Bataille des Dames,’’ by Eugene Scribi.
