GOOD START

W. RENNIE’S RETURN An absence of two years from the saddle has not made for inferior riding in W. Rennie’s case, and his return to the ranks at Ellerslie yesterday was an auspicious start. Associated again with R. Hannon’s stable, he had only two mounts, Roman Abbey and Pennyplain, and second ahd first were the respective results. For this few minutes’ work Rennie brought in £SB 10s in riding fees, but with two more days* riding this sum should be improved on a lot.
