SEVEN-A-SIDE RUGBY

BIBLE CLASS TOURNEY The Presbyterian Young Men’s Bib'.a Class Union of Auckland held its annual Rugby football seven-a-side tournament on the Auckland Domain yesterday. In spite of the chilly nature of the weather there was quite a fair number present. Fifteen teams too* part and competition was keen, especially in the senjor grade. The competition was played in three grades, junior. Intermediate and senior. Mount Eden was successful in carryin* off the intermediate and senior shield* while the St. David’s team was victorious in the junior grade. At the end of the afternoon the Rev. J. A. Thompson, of St. Luke's, Moderator of the Auckland Presbytery, presented the shields to the winning teams and then three cheers were given for the three members of the Auckland Rugby Referees’ Association who their services voluntarily for the afternoon. The following are the results of the finals in each grade: Junior.—St. David’s 3 v. Balmoral v. Intermediate. —Mount Eden 30, v. ot. David’s 0. Senior. —Mount Eden 8, v Somervi-e 0.
