ACCIDENTAL DEATH
XHYBER PASS ACCIDENT “There is no evidence to show that anyone was to blame. I have two or three of these cases every month,” said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, when the inquest was held this afternoon concerning the death of Arthur Reginald Sloman. Mr. Sloman. a gardener, aged TO, of 200 Khyber Pass Road, died from injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor-car early in the evening of May 13. A verdict of accidental death was returned. The medical evidence war that death was due to a fractured skull. The evidence showed that deceased, who was on his way home from work at 5.55 p.m., stepped off the footpath in Khyber Pass Road immediately hi the path of a motor-car driven by John Fleming, of 142 Grafton Road. The man was struck by the middle of the front of the car and received injuries from which he died immediately. Mr. Hoare appeared for the driver of the car.
