CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS Press Association MASTERTON. Monday. The surprise of the Walrarapa golf championship today was the defeat of the present holder of the title, T. 11. Horton (Master ton), in the second round, by* 15. M. Silk (Wanganui). Horton appeared right off his gam*-, whereas Silk played c-xceilent golf, winning decisively’ by" 4 and 3. 1-ast year’s runner-up. Runa Wagg (Hutt). was beaten in the first round by A. E. ' Kkstedt (M&nawatj). The results are: First Round. —T. H. Horton (Mast- rton) beat E. R. Chapman (Manawatu', 6 and 5; B. M. Silk (Wanganui) be*t J. Kerr (Masterton). 2 and 1; A. E. Ekstedt (Manawatu) beat K. Wags (Hutt), 3 and 1; J. Hornabrook (Masterton) beat W. Percy (Masterton), 5 and 4; C. Heard (Masterton) beat A. Seifert (Manawatu), 8 and 7; C. Armstrong (Hutt) beat L. Seifert (Manawatu), 6 and a; C. R. Upham (Manawatu) beat H. Dunderdale (Masterton). 3 and 1: H. A. Black (Hutti heat J.
