MURCHISON ENTHUSIAST

I T)ENVER CITY is a pacer from Albert Hendrickson’s stable that promises, with a bit more experience, to win some good races, i He is owned by the Murchison sportsman, Mr. B. F. Spiers, who made such a fine name for himself through his wonderful organising ability at the time of the disastrous earthquake last June. A few years ago Mr. Spiers and the writer endeavoured to establish trotting in Murchison, but through there being no hope of receiving a "tote” permit the project fell through. His love of the pastime resulted in Mr. Spiers securing a moderate in George Again, and after a couple of successes he flew higher and secured Denver City, which later won a double at Greymouth.
