“FORGET-ME-NOT”

SUNSHINE ASSOCIATION’S APPEAL BLUE FAVOURS PROMINENT "Vivid blue forget-me-nots sprayed the drab City streets today. Charming “highway-women,” armed with collection boxes, held up pedestrians with smiles more powerful than mechanical force. Xo or*e could resist those smiles, and silver coins were exchanged for tiny blue flowers. The Community Sunshine Association should benefit from today’s appeal, and the funds will go to aid the Sunshine School, solarium and Community Club in Nelson Street, and the Health Camp at Ostend. Mrs. N. E. Ferner, who founded these useful institutions, has earned the praiso of all sections of the community, and hundreds of City children are nqw receiving the care and attention which are lacking in some homes. It is hoped to raise £.1,000 today by the Forget-me-not Appeal. Judging by the way the street collectors used their disarming smiles, there is every prospect of that sum being reached.
