FISHERMEN NET SHARK
EXCITEMENT AT WHANGAROA Special to THE SUN tVHANGAROA, Friday. While two Whangaroa fishermen were netting mullet recently from a dinghy, a large reremai shark became entangled in the net. After threshing the water for some time the shark became quiet, and the fishermen ventured closer. They managed to get hold of the tail- and had the fish practically clear of the net when it revived. In the struggle which followed, one man was knocked overboard. The shark eventually escaped, taking with it a large portion of the net.
