PRETTILY FROCKED MAIDS ATTEND BRIDE AT EVENING CEREMONY WAGSTAFF—CANA VAN A dainty bridal gown of ivory georgette was chosen by Cecily Maude, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Canavan, of Orakei Road, Remuera, for her marriage to William Eric, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Wagstaff, of Bracken Avenue, Epsom, at St. Aidan’s Church, Remuera, on Thurs-day evening. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. A. Coleman and Mr. T. Hookham presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, wore her gown fashioned with a tight-fitting corsage, from which fell the full-flared anklelength skirt. The hem and yoke were of ivory lace, and at the waist was worn a large silver tissue bow embroidered with pearls and orange blossom. The veil of ivory tulle, which was edged with lace, was arranged on the head with a juliet cap of pearls caught at either side with clusters of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of beautiful white and pink flowers Two bridesmaids attended, Miss Alison Canavan, sister of the bride, wearing a frock of sea-foam green taffeta shot with silver, with a close-fitting bodice and bouffant skirt, trimmed at the hem with shell pink tulle rosettes. On one shoulder a large pink tulle bow was worn. She wore a dainty silver juliet cap lined with pink, and carried a Victorian posy of pink flowers, and Miss Joyce Booth, cousin of the bride, gowned in beige lace over pale pink satin with a tiered skirt. From the shoulders fell delphinium blue velvet ribbons, caught at the waistline with a large blue flower, and a blue tulle bow was worn on one shoulder. She wore a silver juliet cap lined with blue, and carried a Victorian posy of blue flowers. Little Rona Wilson was trainbearer and wore a frock of .cameo pink frilled georgette with a circlet of pink and blue flowers round her head. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. O. Baxter and Mr. B. Allen was groomsman. A reception was held later at the home of the bride’s parents, where Mrs. Canavan received her guests wearing a gown of black lace over gold lame, and a small black hat. She carried a bouquet of flowers in autumn shades. Mrs. Wagstaff wore a frock of chenille georgette embossed in autumn tones. She wore a smart black and gold hat. and carried an, autumn-tinted bouquet.
