Somerset won on the first innings. Warwick, first innings, made 318 (Bates 85, Parsons 114). Shepherd took five for 40. Surrey, first innings, got 161 (Sandham 65). Foster took seven for 42. Sussex, first innings, made 321 (Bowley 96), and in the second lost five fon 157. The match was drawn. Lancashire, first innings, made 293 (E. Tyldesley 109) and second lost two for 233, declared (E. Tyldesley not out 108). Glamorgan, first innings, 219 (Davies not out 67). Hopwood got five for 21. Second innings, 138. R. Tyldesley took seven for 30. Lancashire won by 171 runs. Leicester, first innings, 229 (Gearv 99). Fabian took four for 42, and Brown four for 40. Cambridge, first innings, lost nine for 245. Snary took .five for 50. The match was drawn.
