MOTOR-CAR HITS POLE

BOTH OCCUPANTS INJURED When a motor-car crashed into a telegraph-pole near the Takanini Stream Bridge on the Great South Road, at about 5.30 last evening, the two occupants, Mr. L. Dunn, of Xew North Road, Auckland, and Mr. V. E. Huddleston, Government stock inspector, who lives at The Drive, Epsom, received injuries. Mr. Dunn, formerly a well-known resident of Patumahoe, was removed to the hospital suffering from severe lacerations to his head and leg. His condition this morning is reported to be fairly serious. Mr. Huddleston escaped with minor abrasions and was treated by Dr. W. G. Bridgman, of Papakura. The front of the car was extensively damaged, while the wires on the pole M'ere disconnected. The accident occurred at a slight angle in the concrete road north of the bridge.
