ORPHANS MEET AGAIN

NEW SEASON OPENS In the absence of the Rev. C. B. W. Seton, president of the Otahuhu 'Orphans’ Club, Air. A. McDonald, expresident, presided over a large attendance of members and visitors from aister clubs at the opening night of the session, held in the Kingsford Hall, Otahuhu, on Tuesday evening. The chairman welcomed 12 new members, and also representatives from Onehunga, Papakura, Takapuna, Birkenhead, Northcote, and Pukekohe Clubs. Bro. Speight, president of the Onehunga Ciub, responded on behalf of the visitors. A number of items were contributed by the club’s orchestra, under Bro. Edwin Parker, and by Mr. Neville Walker (violin), Bro. Dan Flood (entertainer), Bro. 11. Pausey (tenor), Bro. Alf. Fogarty (vocal), Bro. G. W. Venables (vocal),, and Bro. Howard Andrew (elocution). The accompanist -was Bro. Hutton.
