PERSONAL.—Captain D. MacDonald, who has been relieving Captain J. Spring-Brown as commander of the Makura while that vessel was engaged in the intercolonial service, has retained command of the vessel now she has resumed her running in the San Francisco service. Captain Spring-Brown is > at present on holiday leave at Sydney. | The Loongana recently resumed her j running in the Tasmanian trade, and is > under the command of Captain E. Evans. MAUNGANUI SAILS TOMORROW The intercolonial steamer Maunganui is to sail at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon for Sydney with passengers, mail!b nnd cargo. She is due at Sydney on Tuesday morning. PORT ADELAIDE CLEARS LAUNCESTON. —The Port Adelaide left Launceston at l p.m. yesterday for Auckland to start her Homewaid loading. *be is expected to arrive here on Monda> morning. Melbourne and Hobart, the Union Company's steamer Knvitea left Dunedin at 10 p.m. on Tuesday for Timaru Lvttelton, Wellington, Picton, Auckland and New Plymouth to continue unloading. She reached Lyttelton at noon today and leaves there on Saturday. COPTIC’S ITINERARY. —The Coptic (Shaw. Savill Co.). which arrived at Bluff from London in ballast on Monday, was to leave yesterday for Timaru. thence Port Chalmers. Lyttelton and Wellington. She is to sail finally from Wellington on June 7 for London, Avonmouth. Liverpool and Glasgow, via Panama. RUAHINE DUE 3 P.M. Having cleared Gisborne at 4 p.m. yesterday, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine is due in port at 3 o’clock this afternoon according to her radio advice. She is to berth at Central Wharf to complete her cargo for London. With passengers and mails she is to be dispatched from here on Tuesday morning for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. MAORI, WAHINE, AND MARAMA.— The Union Company advises the following movements of the ferry steamers Maori and Wahine, and the intercolonial steamer Marama. The Maori will withdraw for annual survey on arrival at Lyttelton on Wednesday, June 4. The Marama will proceed from Wellington on Tuesday, June 3. to Lyttelton, to relieve the Maori from there tlic following day, and will continue in this running in the Wellington-Lyttelton service until arrival at Wellington on Thursday, June 19. when she will withdraw to leave the following day for Sydney ns timetabled. She will carry saloon and second class passengers in the Wellington--Lyttelton service. The Wahine will withdraw for annual survey on arrival at Lyttelton on Tuesdav, June 10, on which date the Maori will take her running. She will resume from Lvttelton on Thursday, June 19. The Maori, on arrival at Lyttelton on Thursday morning. June 19, will return forthwith to Wellington, to leave there the same night for Lyttelton.
